To produce an engaging, fun experience for the Google Play conference. We needed to build a robust and modular game that could be playable both at event with hardware components and online with no hardware components. Alongside tight timelines weheartdigital were required to use Google tech only including Google cloud hosting and angular as our front end library.
The game concept was an interactive digital/mechanical hybrid experience which meshed together the old arcade style camel racing games (physical camels moving along a physical track), with a digital game component (quiz played by multiple players on multiple tablets).
"A project created for Google Android for their developer conference. Users at the event would race each other by answering questions on touchscreen kiosks (powered by Android Pixel C Tablets). Every correct answer would move their piece further along the track!"
We built a bespoke but modular reusable, clonable game system that has been used at multiple Google events now with no further development or setup from us required.
